The Markets Tavern Hotel is very much a traditional Welsh public house offering a wide selection of food and drinks along side 9 accommodation rooms right on the edge of the town centre. The Markets Tavern Hotel is situated on the edge of the original farmers market, (now Morrisons supermarket) held each week on a Tuesday & Thursday, which has now moved to the industrial estate on the west side of town, it is rumoured that more money changed hands in The Markets Tavern on market days than in all the banks in town all week!
The bar offers a good selection of drinks from real ales to lagers, ciders, spirits and soft drinks, local produce is sourced and used for the menu, which is freshly cooked. Bar games such as darts, pool and quoits are available for patrons to use or even join the teams which the pub has, Sky & BT Sport can also be viewed in the bar area.
